Now and then I like to browse the gold-buying sites in my city. Partly because it’s always good to see what the competition is doing, and partly because I enjoy reading what they write.
Lately, I happened to read some hilarious things:
• Buy gold that offers “patented” systems to sell gold at the best price
• Promises xx% more revenue than the competition
I seem to see an advertisement for slimming pills that appear on regional TV teleshopping.
However, today’s article is not about that. Instead, I want to talk to you about the gold buyers who don’t give gold valuations over the phone.
Browsing their sites, or contacting them by telephone, they tell you that they do not carry out telephone evaluations, giving a thousand explanations:
• They can’t make assessments without seeing the items
• Telephone personnel are not equipped to offer gold quotes
However, the most imaginative are those who say they don’t do telephone evaluations because those who MIND them with the sole purpose of attracting you to the store.
Selling gold is very easy, just a few precautions on your part (weigh the metal first, check the gold price on the stock exchange, and make sure that the gold purchase is serious.
Want to know why they don’t want to tell you the evaluation over the phone?
The truth is that they don’t tell you because they know very well that you would then make a comparison with other shopkeepers, and they don’t want all this!
The nice thing about the internet is that with a simple click you can find hundreds of shops that offer the same product so that you can go to the most convenient one.
It’s the same for gold buyers. Search the internet for the gold buyers in your city, choose the ones that offer you the best guarantees contact them by phone, and choose the one that offers you the best valuation.
The gold buyer who refuses to give you a telephone evaluation, despite everything he can write on the site to try to convince you, knows very well that in reality, he offers you MUCH LESS than the main gold buyers in the city, and therefore avoids answering clearly.
